LaSonya Young is an author, wife of 41 years, devoted mother of six adult children, and proud grandmother to ten. With a B.S. in Marriage and Family Life and Sociology, along with certifications as a Therapeutic Options Trainer and Level II Behavioral Health Case Manager, LaSonya combines professional expertise with heartfelt personal experiences. Her books reflect her passion for imparting wisdom and practical insights. Through her writing, LaSonya seeks to inspire, uplift, and equip readers to navigate life’s challenges with grace and purpose.
B.R. Sanow
B.R. Sanow is an author and the founder of Zegacy Lane Publishing. She is dedicated to writing self-affirming, confidence-building children’s books that have a wide diverse, multicultural and inclusive reach.
As a Black woman and mother to two biracial daughters, she understands the need for diverse representation in children’s literature. With her love for writing, it was only natural for her to create stories for children that provided just that.
